Description (last modified by anna) (diff)
What could we name the middle column of the footer in the Plumi design? I realise many people will customise this for themselves, but we should have something sensible as a default.
As this will be used for the Plumi demo site I suggest we include some Plumi related links by default, just as Wordpress etc. does.
After discussion at our meeting, let's go with THIS on DEMO.plumi.org - implement a static portlet for site info.
Content

Site Info
- Contact Us
- Social Media
- Help
About Plumi
- Plumi Blog
- Plumi Manual
- Plumi Demo Site
- EngageMedia.org
- Unweb.me
Let's go with this in a standard Plumi installation:
Content
- Comments
- Videos
- Audio
- News
- Events
About Plumi
- Plumi Blog
- Plumi Manual
- Plumi Demo Site
- EngageMedia.org
- Unweb.me
this will leave a column of space on the right hand side I suppose.

The plumi footer portlets are now dynamic. We present the navigation portlet by default, but the managers have the freedom to select which portlets appear on the footer. I propose that we implement the above portlets on demo.plumi.org once we roll out 4.5 there, and not add extra static portlets (that won't work for anyone outside demo.plumi) in the skin.

I've made changes to the ticket after our meeting, see above.
Also though the footer is displaying content as per a standard Plone site which doesn't look any good here in the footer, see screenshot attached.
To what extent should we override the default Plone Sunburst stuff here? It just doesn't seem to work with our theme.

really great!
only tuning i would do is to put Comments below the other content in that column, seems appropriate and neat to start with Video, then News, Events, Comments.
