New featured event doesn't appear in featured section

It should replace the previous news item that remains there - it should be based on when the item is featured, it should replace any item that was featured at a previous time.

The listings are sorted by effective date which is the date of the first publication. If you want the above event to appear first change its effective date through the Dates section in the edit form

Previously _I thought_ this operated as per the videos (ie videos get listed as featured based on when they are tagged featured).

Is that workflow hard to add to news/events?

That can't be the case. There is no accounting anywhere in Plone about when a tag is assigned. It used to be sorted on creation or on modification date (not sure which one) and we changed it to effective date as requested in 3.1.

But atm if we feature a video from 2007 it will show up at the top - that's what we were going for. So can't that work for other content items also?
