Featuring an event removes it from the events listing and it doesn't show up in the centre column

I featured this item  http://staging.engagemedia.org/Members/emnews/events/submission-for-ovni-2011 after I featured this item  http://staging.engagemedia.org/Members/andrew/news/jagongan-media-rakyat/view

However the new featured event doesn't come up in the centre column.

it was a temporary issue in staging, not a plumi 3.1 bug
