Description
Currently the bookmarks button is not very obviously a bookmarks button. Is there anything we can do to enhance it? Or perhaps the bookmarks items could just be left open and always available?

Hey and,
Leaving the bookmarks button open, would create way too many icons up there. Even if we loose most of them, I guess we'll have to keep Facebook, Twitter, Technocrati, Digg and delicious as the most well known. I'm leaning to changing the share button with a "share" label or with a better icon. What do you think?
Some icon ideas that I think are more to the point: http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Crystal_Clear_action_share.png http://elearn.wvu.edu/Templates/themes/blue/sharePage.gif

Hey, the wikimedia one doesn't work for me so much, the other one is OKish, a better button could be one way to solve it.
Can you grab a couple of other examples?
The "share this" at http://transmission.cc/ is nice also.

The new ones are cool but all of these have a common issue for Plumi - they're all rather large sized images while the current icons are pretty small. Most of the sample ones above won't look very good if shrunk or will stick out if left their current size (which could be a good thing :)
Why not just a button that says "SHARE"? The only problem I can see is that it may not be understood by non-English speakers (in which case, do we have one per language?)

Damn, I though I put a comment here yesterday, but it seems trac ate it :)
Anyway, I was saying that putting "share" on the document actions as an image, is not only difficult because we need to have a different image for every language, but that it would also raise the translation barrier. We can not then just give the .po files to someone to translate plumi, we'ld have to give an open image with instructions, the necessary fonts, etc. and then add that image to the code and update everything.
I've played around with some of the images and put another proposal up on testing for you guys to see. Shift+refresh to see it.

The new "share" icon is OK even after the shrinking although it takes a bit of double-checking to figure out that it's a collection of social media icons :)
Can you please change the tool-tip that comes up when the mouse hovers over the icon - it currently says "Bookmark" but would probably be better saying "Share This"

Hey Mike, thanks for that. Can we have a look with the "Share this" also, so as to be able to compare. It is pretty is my main concern.

Hey and,
the tooltip already says "Share this", as Grant suggested.
Are you talking about another button?

Ah ok, the "share this" refers to the hover text? Could we make the button about 15% bigger and put it on the far right?

Perhaps we could just make some text that looks "buttony" that says "share this"? Would that be quick?
