Create new "Featured" state for workflow

Need an easy way to flag News, Events, Callouts and Videos as "Featured"

Item to retain all its current attributes but simple now appear on the front page.

Dimo has suggested setting a new workflow state as an easy solution for this issue.

Videos, news and events now have a featured state. Only objects in that state appear on the front page.

I tried to feature  http://demo.plumi.org/Members/andenator/videos/abstractor-home.mp4/ but it didn't replace the top video. However the video did disappear from the listing of videos on the front page though and in /latestvideos! That shouldn't happen.

All the front page videos seem to be in "public draft" rather than the "published" state now. They should remain in "published" state - the only thing that should change is the new featured state.

Note that the video that has most recently be placed in the "featured" state should be the one that is featured.

Note also that  http://demo.plumi.org/featured-videos shows the video that was featured under the old system rather then the new one.

Also can we do this in latest-v? Given the demo site is now borked it'd be good to be testing this elsewhere first.

I've fidex the issue with the video disappering from the latest videos list. I'll check why plone returns all the videos in public draft state tomorrow, and feature the latest changed video tomorrow. Thanks for testing :)

Sorry, re-opening this as it needs to work for news/events/callouts also. I tested with news and it's not working.
