Description (last modified by anna) (diff)

Video summary meta-data is currently displayed like this in the video listings eg.  http://www.engagemedia.org/Members/anna/videos/

What Goes Without Saying
Posted: 21-Sep-2008
Video duration : 2 minutes 27 seconds

Changes in the Indonesian city of Yogyakarta, central Java. From the OK.Video 2007 festival.

Might be better for people to get to the content first and find the video duration later. Try putting the duration underneath so it would be like this:

  • Priority changed from major to trivial
  • Summary changed from Put video duration under first paragraph, not above to Video Listings - put video duration under summary, not above
  • Description modified (diff)
  • Milestone changed from 0.2.2 - small user side enhancements to 0.3 - Plone 3

This could have been better reported ;)

I think you mean on the video listings? eg.  http://www.engagemedia.org/Members/anna/videos/

I think this can wait for 0.3, I don't think it matters so much, could go either way imho, as it might look better where it is now, listed with the Posted date.

We thought we would assign this to Lachlan, as it might be a good ticket to get started on? :)

Maybe we can leave it to Lachlan to work out where it would best be placed, maybe there is another option for laying out this info that would look better than this suggestion, or the way it looks now. Lachlan: feel free to add your opinion here, or unassign it if you don't think it's a good idea.

Looking in  http://latest-v.plumi.org/latestvideos I don't see the video duration listed at all anymore.

Looking at this and talking with Dimo the page has gotten kind of clunky looking with video duration 4 minutes 42 seconds, Country, Genre.

Am wondering if there is a more simple way to do it, perhaps just with the 4:42 type formatting and a little clock, as blip.tv does it? Eg.  http://blip.tv/file/3203216?utm_source=featured_ep&utm_medium=featured_ep in the bottom right.

Also some videos seem to have a time value associated with them and some do not.
